Here's how (#3 is a big key)…

1. Drive Traffic to your Site

You've heard this advice a million times before. You MUST get traffic to your website or landing page.

We're talking real, live humans who want what you have. Visiting your  website every day.

There are hundreds of ways to get traffic and the key is to have steady traffic visiting your site daily.

There are a lot of people who focus on this tactic as THE HOLY GRAIL of your business… but really, it's just the first step. Without the rest of the Client Creation System, you'll have traffic visiting your website but an empty bank account to show for all your efforts.

2. Offer Visitors A Free Valuable Gift

The gift goes by many names:

  • lead magnet
  • ethical bribe
  • freebie
  • opt-in

No matter what you call it, you need something that will get your visitors to say YES to your free lead magnet.

What is this free gift?

First, it should be something that doesn't cost you anything (once it's created). So no Starbucks gift cards, iPads or anything like that. You'd go broke and honestly, those kinds of gifts don't attract the right people (you'll get a lot of freebie hunters who will NEVER buy anything from you).

Instead, ask yourself these three key questions:

  1. What would my new potential clients WANT, get a ton of value from and is easy for me to create?
  2. What would help my new potential clients get one step closer to solving their problem, and get them ready for my ultimate sales offer?
  3. What would be EASY for my new potential clients to do and see results from quickly?

3. Thanks + Strategic Invite

Honestly, this is one of the biggest keys that a TON of people miss.

Your thank you page (after the free gift download) is a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY.

This person you worked hard to get to your site and opt-in to your free information is engaged.

They're excited.

They're anticipating this free valuable information you're about to give them.

They're ready to say YES…

…and all most people do is say ‘Thanks, go check your email'.

That's kinda like slamming the door in their face. You're saying, “I got what I wanted. Now, go away.” YIKES!

Instead, keep inviting them in.

  • Invite them to have a free strategy call with you (if you want new one-on-one clients).
  • Offer them a screaming ‘one time offer' deal on a product/program you sell that they'd want.
  • Offer them an opportunity to join you for a webinar, video training or your free Facebook group.
  • Offer them SOMETHING to continue to engage and show them that you've got what it takes to solve their problem (even if it's just a highly relevant blog post!).

4. Effective Email

No many people talk about email anymore (it's not the new, sexy thing). Email is here to stay AND a key part of your Client Creation System.

Email is tricky because you want to connect, engage and entertain your readers AND you need to stay focused on your ultimate sales goal. There are a lot of nuances about what to actually say to new subscribers to turn them into smokin' hot clients.

The biggest piece is to stay focused on your goal. Don't confuse them with new topics, unrelated offers or random posts. Be very deliberate about the email journey you're going on with your new subscribers.

5. Invite Them In

Again. And again. And again.

Whenever I review a new client's existing email series I see this pop up. There is one invite… buried in the PS of email 5… and hardly anyone sees it! You cannot grow your client base if you're afraid to ask for people to take action.

I get it. You want to deliver value. You don't want to be irritating. You don't want to be too ‘salesy' or ‘in your face'.

Here's the deal… if you do it right, new subscribers will LOVE you for giving them multiple opportunities to say yes. Invite them to an offer (free or otherwise) multiple times throughout your Client Creation System.

6. Engaging Conversation

When you do get a chance to connect with new potential clients – on the phone, in your Facebook group, via email, on a webinar – be engaging. Show your personality. Be interested in them and their problems along with how you can solve those problems.

By following these steps, you have the strategic framework to quickly turn cold ‘strangers' into fans… and fans into clients.

And once set up, your Client Creation System will work for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Imagine turning on your traffic generator and knowing tomorrow you will have 2, 5 even 10 or more new potential clients to speak with. And knowing without a doubt that next week you'll have at least one new client.

That kind of system will change your business and life.

All it takes is the time and effort to set it up. Once it's up and running, you'll never have to worry about how to get clients again.
