cd_final_1400“Being an entrepreneur, you have to get in tune with yourself. Be in tune with how you’re feeling and what you need.” ~Nikki Groom

After being in a very comfortable corporate marketing career for 10 years, Nikki Groom realized that going to the same place every day doing work for someone else was not fulfilling.

But the thought of jumping into full-time entrepreneurship was really scary.

So instead of just jumping into it, Nikki decided to test things on the side before letting go of her job and going full time.

As her business began to grow, Nikki got to a place where she was working until 2 am most days.

She knew that her work pace was completely unsustainable, yet the fear was still there about leaving her job. Until a mentor asked her:

“What would be the worst case scenario?”

When Nikki stopped and thought about it, she was able to realize that the worst case scenario actually wouldn’t be that bad.

So she jumped about 9 months after she originally started her business.

And even though it’s been a wild ride, Nikki wouldn’t trade it for the world.
